I have enjoyed this bank holiday weekend. Great weather and managed to have time to sew too.
Really pleased with the top – I adapted a pattern (Butterick B6136) but cut up, patched and used 3 stretch viscose dresses that had hardly been worn and were about to go to charity. Now I have a lovely new top that I love. The beaded decoration was also reused – cut from a very old top past it’s best. I love to recycle.
These vest style long dresses were comfy but the style really did not suit my larger figure curves – so I only ever wore them around the house
The skirt is one of my favourite makes from stretch ‘burn out’ velour. I didn’t use a pattern for this one.
