Thinking of you cards using papers, dies and stamps from Heartfelt Creations

We all need to make these sometimes to let people know that we are thinking of them through difficult times.

Sadly I have had to make a few of these recently. I used pretty printed papers, co-ordinated with floral and butterfly stamps and dies from Heartfelt Creations. I coloured the flowers to match the papers and added a pretty decorative mat to frame the design using a die from Tonic (the cards are large 8 X 8 inches). The big pink lace butterfly was cut with a die from TODO.

Cards for my little friend Daisy

Daisy dance 3

Good afternoon. Today I am sharing a couple of cards made for my lovely little friend who was 7 this week.

The remit was something with dancing and something with a horse.

The first card was from Daddy. It is an extra large A4 size. I found the lovely silhouette of dad and daughter dancing in the Silhouette America store and cut out using my Silhouette Cameo. I added some clear embossing over the top for shine. The background was created with an 8 X 8 inch Embossalicious embossing folder and Spectrum Noir water based inks.

I inked some more panels for the sides. Scored the edges so that they folded inward slightly. I then cut border strips using some edger dies from Crafters Companion.

On the back I attached an 8 X 8 card blank – so it opened like a standard card and gave somewhere for Daddy to write a message etc.

The large lettering was cut with TODO dies. The bunting banner, stamp plate, curly foliage and birthday girl were cut using Tattered Lace dies. The butterfly was cut using a Create and Craft Couture die. I then embellished with a variety of flowers and foliage created in silicone moulds using air dry paper clay or moulding paste. The Lets Dance stamp was from Creative Expressions.

I just had to add masses of glitter glue for sparkle.

Daisy horse

I used a variety of stamps to create the background scene for this one. I think that the horse is from Stampman. I used watercolour pens and Distress Inks to colour.

The sentiment was computer printed and cut out using a Tattered Lace die.

The tree frame and background tree were cut using dies from Sheena Douglass. Some of the foreground branches were cut using TODO dies.

The flowers, pretty branches and bird were stamped, coloured and cut out using coordinating stamps and dies from Heartfelt Creations (Flowering Dogwood).

Loving my new TODO

Such a great deal on the TODO machine on Create and Craft recently but I wondered how I could justify more equipment for the added ability to Letterpress and Hot Foil (my current machine already die cuts and embosses). Then I thought about my hand made polystyrene tile ‘stamps’ and my lino cuts. Wooohooo – they printed beautifully.

Brilliant to have a machine with adjustable rollers. I have got lots of ideas. Next I need to play with my fabrics and Terial Magic.AW TODO Lino print
