Sadly we had to say goodbye to this lovely lady a couple of weeks ago – she was 17 years old and had remained happy and fairly healthy right up until her last night.
She was actually my neighbour’s cat but had simply moved in – sharing my bed for the last 2 years. My bed is so empty without her. As soon as I was ready to settle down she would come up and under the top cover with her little head peeping out and her whiskers tickling my face while we went off to sleep – tee hee.
The only good pic I had of her was looking over the top of my notebook while I was trying to type up a beading tutorial. I took the photo into Serif Craft Artist and set her into a garden peeping over the top of a garden wall. She was a mischievous little character so this setting fits her perfectly.
I used craft Artist to draw the arched frame. Printed it separately and used my Brother ScanNCut to cut it out. I glued several layers of card together for strength.
The decorative elements were created with the Flowering Dogwood stamps and dies from Heartfelt Creations.
To protect it and make it longer lasting I used Crafters Companion Spray and Shine on the photo and frame, and Spray & Sparkle on the floral embellishments.
Now I have a lovely tribute to her sitting on my desk.
Aww I’m sorry for your loss, pets are so much part of a family it can feel so empty and lonely. I really like this, lovely way to display a photo and remember
Thank you for your lovely message x
